Our Country's
Well it was nice to spend the 4th with a soldier who is involved in fighting for freedom! It makes you appreciate what they do to let us live free. Dan's friend Jarrett came to visit his family and us for the week. He was coming back one more time before he heads to Iraq for a second term as a helicopter pilot for the Army. We spent the day having crabs at his sisters house in Baltimore City. When we were ready to leave we looked outside and multiple fireworks were going off the streets of the city, literally. Katelynn was so excited about the minor fireworks it made us realize the simplicity of childhood and we enjoyed them as well. From the moment she saw Jarrett they were attached at the hip until he left our house on Saturday. A cute moment was when she looked up at him and said "Thank you for being a soldier" Dan and I were almost brought to tears. We have explained about the 4th that morning and used Jarrett and my brother as examples since she knew them. So we were glad it clicked with her.

Dominic is not walking or standing alone yet. The pediatrician is concerned more about not standing vs not walking, so we have had a physical therapist coming to try and work on some strength. We will also be taking him to an orthopedic to rule out any anatomical reasons. When the therapist is not here, there are things we work on with him including taking steps. Here are examples of us working with him. Jarrett enjoyed the excitement of seeing him take steps. Dominic gets so excited once his gets going he is babbling and swinging his arms.
