Where did 6 years go? Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

So Dan and I pondered tonight on the fact that our little girl would be 6 tomorrow. She is becoming this girl and growing up quickly. She was our first gift from God. Oh how we thank her birth mom, for her obedience to God to bring this little angel into this world. In a day and age where it is so easy to terminate a pregnancy. If she chose this, the world would not have the many blessings of Katelynn in the short 6 years of her life. Here are a few:

• She has brought so many people closer to God and she doesn't even realize it.
• Her story has changed many from pro-choice to pro-life.
• She was patient with us as we learned to be parents :) I remember writing in a letter to Beth that Katelynn must have read a book in utero on how to take care of her parents!
• Her infectious smile and personality brightens up the day of many. When we are out, she just walks up to people who she says look sad and said hello with a great big smile.
• Her genuine heart for helping.
• She has been an amazing sister to her little brother. She had many days of being patient at the adoption agency on days I went to visit with Dominic, at the many long doctor visits with Dominic, and teaching him the ropes of growing up.
• Her questions that keeps us on our toes.
• Her passion for Jesus that we pray she will have forever.

Almost 3, with her pal Lambie 2. The original was given to her by her birth mom in the hospital. This is Lambie 2, who came into the picture when Lambie 1's nose was bit by Vinnie dog. To reduce the risk of further damage to the special gift, we got Lambie 2. Lambie 1 did a great job up until the photo above, when he passed the wand onto Lambie 2. The funny thing is, Lambie 2 is 2+ times the size of Lambie 1. Who thought there were two different size Lambies. When it came in and I realized the size difference, I panicked. As soon as Katelynn saw it, she had the reaction above and happy to see Lambie return.
