Camping Fun!

Katelynn's brownie troop took their first camping trip. It was one step up from tenting. We slept in cabins that were just structures with wooden beds. They had a great time learning about leaves, doing swaps which is where each troop makes a unique pin to exchange with other troops. I think Katelynn's favorite part was playing with the salamanders. They had a talent show and enjoyed making trail mix. They all had responsibilities that including cooking and cleaning. We took a night time walk through the woods, which some girls were fond of, but it was neat. In the morning they had to find their breakfast that was hidden by the dad's before the girls got up. I was glad to be able to join them during this special time.
