Radiation completed, now what?

I just wanted to update everyone on where Dom is in his treatment. Since he is part of a trial, the trial dictates when everything will occur. Therefore, as you know, he just finished radiation. He is still on the Pazopanib (targeted chemo) until February 28, then will go off because it can affect the healing process after surgery. He will get a MRI, CT and Pet Scan the week before surgery, to see the status of the tumor. If the tumor is bigger, he will have to go off the trial and other options will be discussed. If the tumor stays the same or gets smaller, surgery will then occur March 7th. He will then go back on Pazopanib sometime around March 28th, once they feel healing is on track and will continue until around June 20th. Depending on how clean the margins are at the tumor/surgery site, he may have to do additional radiation. He will continue to meet with the trial oncology team once a week to get blood work and examined. If you ever have questions, please ask.
