OBX Traditions

Since we have been going together we have started some traditions that we all look forward to each year:

The Sunday that we are there we have a church service that morning since we would not be going to our home churches. Rachael, my cousin's daughter is in charge of organizing. She does a great job assigning everyone a job. The women are in charge of coming up with a routine. This year it was "Oh Happy Day" from Sister Act. The message was on true happiness.

We have been to Jockey's Ridge as a family, but it has become a tradition for Dan and Katelynn to go every year and have some time together climbing and then running down the large sand dune. This year Katelynn was caught checking out her shadow :)

Nothing like a live blue crab and joy of watching the kids jump when they get moving before putting them in the pot. They were yummy and here is Gabie and Dan the last standing.

Every year we have a puzzle table. Usually we get through 3 puzzles. This year's was hard and we only got through one puzzle of buttons.

Finally, Mom brings a craft for all the kids and any adults who want to participate. This years craft was decorating Koozies.
