Deep Creek

This year we decided to try something different with my family. So we headed to Deep Creek Lake. It was a really good time with my immediate family minus Christine's family. My Uncle, Aunt, Cousins and their family.

We all decided to rent a boat, which was a great idea. Here Katelynn is having her turn at being captain.

We also rented a raft and the kids had a great time riding behind the boat. This is Katelynn and Janae.

The water was REALLY cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Here Dominic is enjoying some water time with Uncle Rick.

Growing up in our neighborhood we played a game, seven times around the house. Rick decided to get the kids going in a game. They had a blast, until it started to storm.

To follow up with our annual tradition of tournaments. This year we had a Wii Bowling tournament. Mom was the winner over everyone else!

Somehow we botched the bedroom situation. Therefore, Dan and I took the in-law suite and the kids wanted to sleep in the closet. They called it the fort. Although this looks peaceful, it didn't last very long after Dominic kicked and cried for his pillow. The rest of the week they slept in separate areas.

We went to Swallow Falls. We hiked and visited each of the falls. It was really neat to visit somewhere Dan and I had visited during the college days.

In true Katelynn fashion, she met a friend at the falls and helped her find little fish.

Rachael did a great thing and had a poster for each of the kids to make for their Dads for Father's Day, since we were there during this holiday.
Some of the ladies took some time for themselves during a spa day. Jennie and I got the deep tissue massage and realized the next day it didn't feel too good. Live and learn

The kids had a movie night complete with Cracker Jacks, that Mom mom and Pop pop brought them!

They had a really cool mountain coaster that we all got to go down, even Dominic. It pulls you up the mountain and then lets you go at the top and gravity takes over. It was really neat.

Our traditional Five Crowns Tournament, was won by Rachael this year. Dan had to give up his title.

Dan, Katelynn, and my Dad took a trip to his old stopping grounds. We don't think Katelynn will go there, but it was neat to have her do a tour with Daddy.

This is my immediate family that made it to the lake this year.
