February Blizzard 2010

So this winter season brought ALOT of snow. This was the next blizzard that we really enjoyed the time that we were forced to not do anything. Sometimes we need those times. It consisted of fun in the snow and different activities inside.

Dan continued with the awesome work of keeping the driveway clear even though the streets took days to get clear. He also helped Katelynn make multiple forts, that all the kids enjoyed playing with from the street. Dominic enjoyed walking everywhere eating any snow he could get his hands on. Once Dan cleared the driveway Dominic decided it was good scooter weather. Very funny to watch a kid in snow gear, scooter around the driveway.

There was a lot of snow piled on the center island of our cul-de-sac so the kids had their own snow hill to go sledding. All fun until the street started to get cleared and they would come to an immediate stop once they hit the bottom of the hill. One of the neighbors had slushy machine flavorings, so she brought them out for the kids to sprinkle on the snow and then eat. We got a great shot Katelynn doing this.

When inside Katelynn enjoyed making things for her American Girl dolls, that we picked up when we went to the mall for one day to get out from being home for almost a week. They also enjoyed movies and just playing together which they don't get to do much since Katelynn is in school all day. We also had a dance night after dinner one night. Dominic LOVES to dance around anytime his songs come on. You will see a shot to Katelynn dancing with Dan as he teaches her to do different moves.

There was so much snow that they have to pull in front loaders to help clear the roads. Dominic loved watching a real life front loader.

Katelynn not only helped at our house, but she also offered to help the neighbors.
